Liberty Walk Europe Heads to Wonderland Show Lyon
Back from Wonderland
We’ve just returned from Wonderland Motor Show in Lyon, and it’s safe to say the event delivered!
The halls were packed all weekend with an incredible mix of builds and enthusiasts. Everywhere you looked there was something worth stopping for.
We can see why Wonderland continues to establish itself as one of Europe's most exciting automotive events, bringing together everything from high-end show cars to grassroots builds under one roof.
Debut of the Mazda AZ-1 LB40
The headline moment for us was the unveiling of our brand-new Mazda AZ-1 LB40 project. It might be one of the smallest cars we've ever built, but it had one of the biggest impacts of the weekend.
The reaction from visitors was immediate. Crowds surrounded the car from the moment it was revealed to see the project for the first time.
Our Mazda AZ-1 based LB40 brings a completely different flavour to the Liberty Walk line-up. Compact, aggressive, and full of character, it proves that you don't need massive horsepower or a six-figure price tag to grab attention.
Liberty Walk Everywhere
Alongside the AZ-1, we displayed two of our most recognisable builds.
Probably our most-recognised build - The LB-Super Silhouette Mazda RX-7 FD looked right at home in Lyon, continuing to draw crowds with its unmistakable silhouette and race-inspired styling.
Joining it was the ever-popular recently released LB Super Silhouette R34 GT-R owned by Imran. The car remains one of the most talked-about Liberty Walk builds in Europe and attracted attention throughout the weekend.
Also on display (and another car on loan from Imran) was our former LB-Works GR Supra, showcasing a more modern JDM side of the Liberty Walk range.
The Liberty Walk presence extended far beyond our own stand.
A standout customer build was the LB Works BMW i8 from Exclusive Cars France. The Liberty Walk kit completely transforms the platform and made it one of the most desirable cars at the event.
Then there was Charlie's LB-Works Ferrari F430 from the UK. A familiar face at Wonderland, but this year it arrived with a roof-mounted quad bike and custom awning setup that turned the Ferrari into the ultimate road-trip vehicle. It perfectly captured the fun side of car culture that makes events like Wonderland so memorable.
See You Next Time
The support across the entire weekend was incredible!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand, checked out the cars, grabbed photos or merch, and shared their enthusiasm with us. The crowds around the Liberty Walk builds never seemed to slow down.
A huge thank you also goes to the Wonderland team for putting together another standout event.
If this year's show is anything to go by, we'll be back! See you at the next one.
